An empirical approach for predicting burden velocities in rock blasting

چکیده
An analytical relation between burden velocity and ratio of to blasthole diameter is developed in this paper. This found be consistent with the measured velocities all 37 full-scale blasts from published articles. These include single-hole blasts, multi-hole simultaneously-initiated various borehole diameters such as 64 mm, 76 92 115 142 mm 310 mm. All boreholes were fully charged. The agreement calculated demonstrates that can used predict a wide range blast fully-coupled explosive charge help determine correct delay time adjacent holes or rows involved tunnelling (or drifting), surface underground mining production opening slot blasts. In addition, theoretical agree 9 laboratory small-scale certain extent. To blast, further study modification necessary by using more future.

in the area of automotive engineering there is a tendency to more electrification of power train. in this work control of an induction machine for the application of electric vehicle is investigated. through the changing operating point of the machine, adapting the rotor magnetization current seems to be useful to increase the machines efficiency. in the literature there are many approaches wh...
15 صفحه اولPredicting Software Defects through SVM: An Empirical Approach
Software defect prediction is an important aspect of preventive maintenance of a software. Many techniques have been employed to improve software quality through defect prediction. This paper introduces an approach of defect prediction through a machine learning algorithm, support vector machines (SVM), by using the code smells as the factor. Smell prediction model based on support vector machi...
متن کاملPredicting ε50 for Lateral Behavior of Piles in Marine Clay Using an Evolutionary Based Approach
Analyzing piles subjected to lateral loads significantly depends on soil resistance at any point along the pile as a function of pile deflection, known as p-y curve. On the other hand, the deformation characteristics of soil defined as “the soil strain at 50% of maximum deviatoric stress (ε50)” has considerable effect on the generated p-y curve. In this research, several models are proposed to ...
متن کاملEvaluation of Empirical Correlations for Predicting Gas Hydrate Formation Temperature
One of the important, practical and simple methods for hydrate formation conditionis empirical equations, and so far many empirical equations have been presented to predict thetemperature and pressure of hydrate formation. In this study, the methods and empiricalcorrelations have been reviewed and their predictive capabilities have been evaluated with ...
